Компания Passmark выпустила новую версию программы MonitorTest, которая представляет собой тест для оценки качества CRT, LCD и плазменных мониторов.

Принцип работы прост - пользователю демонстрируются последовательно специально сделанные изображения в различных разрешениях и при разной глубине цвета. Предполагается, что на основе тестирования пользователь сможет подобрать оптимальные настройки для монитора, который уже есть или выбрать наилучший монитор из предполагаемых к покупке (если есть возможность погонять тест на разных мониторах). Из полезных моментов стоит отметить наличие в тесте режима вывода на экран одного цвета для поиска битых пикселей у LCD мониторов.
